The Hungarian National Association of Machinery and Power Engineering Industries organized a conference at the Budapest University of Technology and Economic where Béla Glattfelder, Deputy Minister of State highlighted that the Hungarian companies should receive non-refundable subsidies in the next programming period. He mentioned that the European Commission needed to be convinced by the Government that the Hungarian SME's are dependent on subsidies in non-refundable form. The Minister of State confirmed that the Government aims to use te 60% of EU funding for economy development, first of all for the support of SME's.
László Deák, the President of Hungarian National Association of Machinery and Power Engineering Industries highlighted the key role of machinery industry in the national economy and named the lack of educated workforce and unpredtictable state behaviour as obstacles of the sector growth.
Dr. Gábor Péceli, the Rector of Budapest University of Technology and Economics, highlighted the importance of higher education of engineers, because the high added value they are representing in the industry, should not be ignored in the future.
