The National Office for Research, Development and Innovation will be responsible for the Government's tasks related to research and development and for the distirbution and monitoring of all the EU subsidies supporting R+D activities. The Office will coordinate and finance all the activities and representation of international scientific organizations (like CERN) and programmes.

The domestic fund (financed by the budget and the innovation contribution provided by the Hungarian companies) and its related  call for proposals will be managed also by the Office wich will be named Research, Development and Innovation Fund .

The regulation is terminating the OTKA Office with legal successor and overruling the previous OTKA law as of December 31, 2014. Given this legal regulation, the OTKA programs, the administration of the running projects, and the new calls for proposals will be handled by the National Office for Research, Development, and Innovation.
